1 The pedaling is easy
It’s hard to put into words how fun it is to ride an e-bike. It takes all the charm of normal biking—fresh air, human-powered speed—but exchanges any sweaty grinding for effortless acceleration. It is pure elation.
About the E-Bikes: E-bikes are not motorcycles or moped. The supply of energy comes from a removable battery that helps you along if you want to go a bit faster or are climbing a hill. If you chose to pedal hard, very little battery power will be used. As you slow your pace, the electrical assistance kicks in and provides a welcome boost!
2 The food is delicious and filling
Jasper Food Tours’ Bites on E-Bikes tour delivers hearty, delicious portions at wilderness restaurants that are a joy to discover. Each one is special in its own way, with its own specialties. From smoked meats to refined dishes to sumptuous desserts, you'll be left comfortably full and satisfied.
3 It's led by a longtime local
As the owner of Jasper Food Tours, Estelle Blanchette knows her way around some Rocky Mountain cuisine. It's fuel on long hikes, joy shared with travel mates, and an outlet for her insatiable culinary innovation. Going on one of her tours is a great way to get a local insider's perspective on Jasper and its top spots for eats.
4 It visits interesting scenery
Why only eat when you can sightsee at the same time. Biking means you're right in nature but able to move faster than when walking. The tour visits such iconic Jasper landmarks as Maligne Canyon, Lac Beauvert, and the Athabasca River.
