Get ready for new arts, culture and culinary experiences coming to the Rockies from May 3-12.
Tourism Jasper is thrilled to announce Taste of Spring – the newest event of its kind in the Canadian Rockies. Spanning the first two weekends in May, this 10-day celebration will showcase the finest flavors of the season alongside live music and unique art.
Taste of Spring invites attendees to savor Jasper’s diverse dining scene while experiencing the cultural adventures that define Jasper. From long table dinners to wine tastings to intimate concerts around town, participants will embark on a sensory journey through Jasper's wildly lovable mountain town and welcome spring in style.
Highlights include:
- Mixology classes and wine tastings: Sample wines from all over the world at Springtime Sips: A Wine Affair, or learn how to mix tasty cocktails from bartending experts. Prefer something hoppier? Be a brewer for a day and try handpicked craft beers.
- Indigenous culture and cuisine: Sit fireside with an Indigenous Knowledge Keeper for a unique evening of storytelling, musical performance and tea with traditional bannock.
- Art and entertainment: Dive into Jasper’s live music scene with multiple live performances happening throughout town in restaurants, pubs and more. See Jasper through artists’ eyes with an UpLift Mural Festival tour or guided paint nights.
- Activities and adventure: With opening trails, raging rivers, and baby wildlife, spring is an amazing time to visit Jasper and experience the best of the Rockies. Indulge in a bit of everything with specialized sightseeing excursions or a Food, Art & History tour.
- Alpine picnics: Soar high above the peaks in a helicopter tour before having your very own private picnic among the mountaintops.
"Taste of Spring gathers Jasper’s best chefs, musicians, artists and other talented locals together to show off their craft in the place that inspires it," said Fawn Furlotte, Destination Animation and Events Specialist at Tourism Jasper. "It's the best way to sample Jasper’s talent while kicking off the spring season.”
