Wild Current Outfitters (WCO) is a travel adventure company located in the mountain town of Jasper, Alberta. We offer canoe trips on Pyramid Lake and other majestic wilderness lakes in Jasper National Park. Our goal is to exceed our guests’ expectations by offering an authentic Rocky Mountain wilderness experience which will provide lasting memories of Jasper National Park and the Canadian Rockies.
No experience is necessary as this is a flat water experience so you don’t get wet, and your certified canoe guide will offer instruction on paddling as you enjoy the panoramic vistas and mountain peaks. Be sure to keep your cameras handy for the chance to observe the local wildlife including osprey, loon, muskrat, beaver, moose, black and grizzly bear, elk, deer, coyotes, and wolves.
Safety equipment is provided. Our life jackets include camera pockets and guests are requested to dress for the weather based on up-to-date forecasts. We provide rain gear, gloves and toques (winter hats).
Your canoe will be a five-to-eight passenger handmade cedar-strip Voyageur Canoe.
