Itinerary

The tour itinerary of A STORY OF FIRE is flexible and changes upon seasonal highlights. Fire is part of the Rocky Mountain ecosystem, native plant and animal species have evolved to live with fire. The first years of regrowth will showcase an immense transformation in vegetation. Wildlife will thrive on these new food sources and adapt well to post-fire habitat changes.

Our choice of locations is dependent on multiple factors, including preferred subject matter and local weather conditions. Possible tour locations include:

  • Pyramid Bench, including Patricia Lake and Pyramid Island.
  • Across the Athabasca; including Lake Edith, Lake Annette and Old Fort Point.
  • Maligne Valley; including Maligne Overlook, Medicine Lake and Maligne Lake.
  • Along the Icefields Parkway (93N); including Athabasca Falls and Sunwapta Falls.
