Blackout Periods for Tourism Jasper
Due to peak season and general capacity we have designated blackout periods for visits. During these blackout periods Tourism Jasper is not able to provide assistance with accommodation and various activities out of respect for our shareholders and visitors. Please do not hesitate to reach out as we may consider some exceptions.
Our current blackout periods are:
- Easter weekend
- Canadian Thanksgiving
- Family Day weekend
- June to September (peak season)
- Holiday season – Dec. 21 to January 7
When we need you
Tourism Jasper focuses on winter and shoulder season (fall and spring), we will accept most visits from October to April and we prefer midweek. Tourism Jasper also focuses on festivals such as the annual Jasper Dark Sky Festival, Jasper in January and the Jasper Pride Festival
What is involved
Tourism Jasper will support influencer visits that fit within our target markets, demographics and that align with our brand and marketing objectives. Tourism Jasper will take into account followers, reach, and engagement rate. Due to a high volume of applications, each visit will be approved on a case by case basis and only a select number of visits will be accepted. Tourism Jasper requires a month minimum to approve and plan a visit. Influencers will need to provide a specific amount of deliverables and will be also tasked with specific tagging requirements during their visit. Influencers are expected to act professionally/respectfully during a visit, follow Tourism Jasper’s itinerary and to be punctual when dealing with Jasper businesses.
What we can offer Influencers
Each visit is on a case by case basis, Tourism Jasper may not be able to provide all these factors to each itinerary.
- Accommodation (3 nights maximum)
- A Tourism Jasper hosted meal
- Meal allowance
- Transportation assistance
- 1 to 4 activities (skiing, ice climbing, icewalk, etc.)
- Itinerary specialized to each influencer by Tourism Jasper’s media experts.
