Travel with Purpose: Responsible Tourism is vital and welcomed here!
As we welcome visitors back to Jasper, we invite you to be a part of our journey towards recovery. We encourage all visitors to practice responsible tourism, and we kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring a respectful and positive experience for everyone. Here’s how you can make a positive impact and enjoy our beautiful mountain town responsibly:
- You are welcome, but please be mindful. Our residents are navigating a lot of challenges right now - please be considerate of local residents and businesses and their recovery efforts.
- Respect all area closures during your visit. Some closures are in place for safety reasons, while others help ensure privacy for those involved in recovery efforts.
- Capture the beauty, not the damage: We encourage you to take photos of the park’s stunning landscape that still exists – please skip photos of structures hit by the wildfire out of respect for our residents.
- Rebuilding with you in mind: Our community is hard at work rebuilding, and we are committed to providing you with a memorable experience. Please be aware that things will look different for a while, so we appreciate your patience and understanding.
- Support local: One of the best ways to help our community is to spend within Jasper National Park. Whenever you can, eat in our restaurants, stay in our hotels, shop in our local stores, use our services, explore with our guides, rediscover Jasper.
- Recreational drone use is not permitted within National Park boundaries. Please leave your drone at home: using recreational drones in national parks is dangerous and illegal, carrying a maximum fine of $25,000
Together, we can ensure that travel remains a force for good, benefiting both visitors and our destination!
