- Hike an official trail
- Take 10 photos of plants and upload them to iNaturalist.
- Visit the Visitor Experience Centre to show your photos on iNaturalist.

Be a Responsible Explorer:
- Stay on trails.
- Do not touch or pick plants.
- Use boot brush stations before and after your hike to prevent the spread of invasive seeds.
- Complete a trail report to share what you saw and help Parks Canada monitor trail conditions.
- Carry bear spray and keep your distance from wildlife.
- Leave no trace.
Invasive species to look out for
Yellow Toadflax
Yellow Toadflax is a slender, upright plant with narrow, pale green leaves and bright yellow, snapdragon-like flowers featuring a prominent orange patch on the lower lip.
Yellow Hawkweeds
Yellow Hawkweeds are low to medium-height plants with hairy stems and leaves, and clusters of small, dandelion-like yellow flowers at the top, often spreading by creeping stolons.
Yellow Clematis
Yellow Clematis is a climbing or trailing vine with finely divided, bluish-green leaves and distinctive nodding, lantern-shaped yellow flowers that later form feathery seed heads.
Scentless Chamomile
Scentless Chamomile is a bushy, daisy-like plant with finely divided, feathery green leaves and white petals surrounding a yellow center, notable for its lack of fragrance.
Oxeye Daisy
Oxeye Daisy is a perennial plant with smooth, spoon-shaped leaves and classic daisy flowers featuring white petals and a bright yellow center, growing singly on tall, slender stems.
Iceland Poppy
Iceland Poppy is a hardy, short-lived perennial with hairy, lobed leaves and delicate, papery flowers in shades of white, yellow, orange, or pink, each held on a tall, leafless stem.
Himalayan Balsam
Himalayan Balsam is a tall, fast-growing plant with reddish, hollow stems, lance-shaped toothed leaves, and showy, helmet-shaped pink to purple flowers, often found along riverbanks and damp areas.
Dalmatian Toadflax
Dalmatian Toadflax is an upright perennial with waxy, bluish-green, heart-shaped leaves that clasp the stem, and bright yellow, snapdragon-like flowers with orange throats clustered along the upper stem.
Crested Wheatgrass
Crested Wheatgrass is a perennial grass with stiff, blue-green leaves and distinctive, dense, upright seed heads that have a crested or comb-like appearance.
Canada Thistle
Canada Thistle is a tall, spiny perennial with deeply lobed, dark green leaves and clusters of small, purple-pink, tubular flowers, often forming dense, invasive patches.
